Buffy is a three year old terrier cross with a lovely personality and very big ears. She's not the prettiest dog at the Mayflower Sanctuary but deserves a chance all the same. The Sanctuary do not know whether she will live with other dogs but she is fine with dogs at the Sanctuary, doesn't seem to have any issues with children and has not met a cat since she's been in care.

Kane
This is Kane, he is about 7 years old. His owner died some years ago and he came into rescue. He has had two homes since that time, but he is a border collie cross and sometimes these dogs do seem to get misunderstood. He is such a nice lad and loves to play with his toys. His recall is brilliant and he is very intelligent.

Quaker
Quaker is a 5 year old Rottie X GSD, neutered. He was bought into the centre by an RSCPA Inspector, he had spent most of his life in a room on his own, left to his own devices and has known little human kindness. We would like a calm, gentle home preferably with some experience of owning larger dog as Quaker can be very strong and willful. Ideally a home with no cats, young children or other dogs as he also needs few distractions in the beginning. With calm, patient owners he will make a fantastic pet, he has improved a lot since being in our care, we just need a home that will carry on with his learning and not rush him. We will offer support at the centre to anyone who would like to adopt Quaker to help ensure that he never has to come back to kennels again.
Please contact the RSPCA Birmingham, Barnes Hill, Weoley Castle, Birmingham B29 5UP. Telephone 0121 427 6111.
Figo
Figo is a 6 year old Greyhound who suffers with an overactive thyroid gland but, whilst he is on medication, is very well and lives a normal life. The medication will be paid for by the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust for the rest of Figo's life. This handsome boy keeps getting overlooked because of his condition and would make an excellent pet.
Please contact the Lincolnshire Trust for Greyhounds on 01522 569825.
Bob
Bob is we think, Great Dane/Greyhound cross - so he's big and certainly beautiful. He was handed over to RSPCA by his owner because he was too big to handle! He is approximately 3 yrs old now and has been in Kennels for about a year. People pass him by because he appears very boisterous. In the Kennel situation he has proved to be 'well behaved ' with other dogs and respects humans who respect him. He enjoys the outdoors - loves his walks. He also enjoys a weekly trip to hydrotherapy for a fun swimming session - this we believe is keeping him in good physical shape and gives an opportunity for him to meet humans and dogs in an out of kennel environment.
With Humans it's an instant love match but sadly all those who have come to know him are already owners of multiple dogs and are not able or willing to take on another. Anyone who can see beyond 'size' and is willing to engage in AB with Bob - is guaranteed to be a wonderful companion.
Please contact John Black, RSPCA Newcastle and North Northumberland Branch Telephone 07973 952 575.
Dodger
Dodger is a great character; he is a Bull Terrier Cross and is 7 years old. He is very affectionate and loves to play with his toys. He would fit in extremely well with a grown-up family or a family with older children, as an only pet. He has been with the centre since 2005 and would dearly love to find his forever home.
